A new version of Word Me Up XXL for AmigaOS4 and MorphOS is now available. This update 1.2 includes notably:
- enhancement of all graphical themes (15) of the game,
- visual enhancement of some GUI widgets.

This update is free for all people that have already bought the game. Others can buy the game at only 9,99 euros until end of year. Don't forget to register your copy to get updates if you don't buy game via our webshop.

Hyperion Entertainment VOF announced AmigaOS 4.1 SDK (Software Development Kit) 53.20 availability. New SDK contains everything developers need to take advantage of all the new AmigaOS 4.1 features. It was thus updated: documentation, includes, MiniGL and Python. .... Let's note also Hieronymus, a profiling tool to help tune running applications. It was done on Amiga by Mathias Parnaudeau.

After five days of exciting suspense, A-EON company reveals a new high end computer called AmigaOne X 1000. Goal is ambitious because with the launch of the X1000, they want a new beginning for the AmigaOS platform, they want to bring community something new, like the A1000 model that launched the Amiga line in 1985. It's aimed "at the professional and serious hobbyist markets", dixit A-EON. It should be available in Summer this year. No details about price was announced but it should be the same than Amiga 1000 price, 25 years ago. AmigaOS4.x should be available from the start. These are X1000 specs: ATX Formfactor, dual core processor (compatible PowerISA v2.04), 7.1 channel HD audio, 4 DDR2 RAM slots, 10 USB 2.0 slots, one ethernet 1 gigabit slot, 2 PCIe x16 (1x16 ou 2x8) slots, 2 PCIe x1 slots , 1 Xorro slot providing access tor XMOS XCore called Xena, 2 PCI slots, 2 RS232, 4x SATA, 1 IDE slot, 1 JTAG connector and 1 Compact Flash connector. Well, a modern and powerfull computer. By the way, A-EON was funded by 3 amigans: one of them is the famous belgium man Ben Hermans, who was Hyperion Entertainment management partner a few years ago.

In a few days, ONU Copenhagen Climate Summit will start. At his occasion, governments will try to reach agreement on all the essential elements of a comprehensive, fair and effective deal on climate change. Boing Attitude :o) decides to go "green" and to minimize its environmental impact.

In concrete terms, this means that we won't build "physical" copies (CD, DVD, ...) of our products any longer. Only "numerical" (digital) copies will be sold. Production of DVDs, CDs, jackets, ... does in fact need fossil fuel (mostly petroleum) whose exploitation contributes to global warming. It also contributes to vital resources rarefaction (like water). Invoices will be of course only numerical. Moreover, Development stage will also be more "green": low-consuption computers like Amiga will be used at the maximum, printed paper quantity will be reduced and 100% recycled, ...

You too, you can notify governments you want a real and ambitious deal at Copenhaguen 2009 to fight against global warming.

Hyperion Entertainment CVBA and Amiga, Inc reached eventually settlement agreement concerning AmigaOS rights. Hyperion becomes without any doubt the new owner of AmigaOS trademark.

The AmigaOS/MorphOS Games Award winner is this year Homeworld. WordMeUp XXL was elected fifth best game of 2008 year for Amiga (among 17 pre-selected games). This vote, managed by french Obligement website, is due to amigans (AmigaOS, MorphOS or AROS). This good rank is moreover very good if you look at 4 first games that are ports from Windows or Linux worlds, free for most of them whereas our game is not. Many thanks to those who vote for WordMeUp XXL! This give us more reasons to develop mainly on Amiga.

After AmigaOne, micro-Aone, Classic PPC Amiga and more recently SAM, AmigaOS 4.1 is now also available for Pegasos II (G3 or G4), generally shipped with MorphOS until now. This release is distributed by Acube Systems firm. It costs 105 euros (without VAT).. Functionnalities are identical to AmigaOne release. A Pegasos I release might follow if there is enough interest from users.

Hyperion Entertainment announced immediate availability of SDK (Software Development Kit) 53.13 for AmigaOS 4.1. New SDK notably brings to 3rd-party developers new gcc 4.2.4 compilator, updated includes and autodocs files. Word Me Up XXL, available for AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS operating systems, is still improved and now reaches version 1.1. It includes notably :

- Design and graphical arts enhancements (5 themes were fully reworked, 4 others were improved).

After the so awaited MorphOS 2.0 finally released a few weeks ago, the first update is now available since September, the 6th. With some bugs fixs, new features were added like, for example, a sound driver for Efika cards or a 2D driver for XGI Volari V3XT cards. You can get the full list from MorphOS team website. A new SDK is also available since September, the 14th.

Hyperion Entertainment VOF and ACube Systems SRL announced on Wednesday September, 17th that they had entered into an OEM license agreement which will allow ACube to sell AmigaOS 4.1 with SAM440 motherboards. The operating system, though still in betatest stage on these new cards, will be sent "as is" to buyers who will receive then the final OS 4.1 release. A first public demonstration of AmigaOS 4.1 for SAM440ep is scheduled for the upcoming exhibition Pianeta Amiga in Empoli (Italy) on September 27-28, 2008.

The SAM440ep card, which has a MiniITX Form Factor (17x17 cm), is built around a PowerPC 440EP, a System On Chip (SoC) produced by AMCC under license from IBM. Built with CMOS (0.13 um) technology, it has a very low power consumption (only 3 Watts at 533Mhz) and it does not require any active cooling system. Numerous peripherals are integrated: DDR 266 memory controller, PCI, ethernet and USB ports, ATI RADEON Mobility M9 with 64mb RAM graphic chip, ... The SAM is available in two versions : 533Mhz or 677Mhz processors. Motherboard price goes from 459 to 489 euros. Please notice that a big promotion is currently running and will end on September, 30th. Relec third-party sells nice full configs and notably "The Red One" around 800 euros.

AmigaOS 4.1 has gone "gold" today. It means that master CD is ready and was delivered for duplication. The new version should thus hit the shelves in two-three weeks. It will ship in a cardboard package with a printed Quick Start Guide for a price of 105 euros (excl. VAT and postage). We'd like to thank the team for the great job they did. Despite of our best efforts, there won't be any other Amiga versions of WordMeUp XXL. We remind Amiga fans that this already awarded game is available for MorphOS and AmigaOS 4.

WordMeUp XXL development for AROS is on hold for now: stability issues (no more stable version), issues with exchange of data between several computers... We'll study again this release in a few months. We're quite confident that AROS will be better at that time.

WordMeUp XXL development for AmigaOS 3.x is canceled. We tried to make WordMeUp XXL for WinUAE units. But, after had sucessfully ported it to this emulator, result is not as good as we hope, notably concerning playability. That why there won't be any 68k version.

A Windows release is planned. MacOS and Linux releases are also studied with care.

A new version of Word Me Up XXL for MorphOS is now available. This first update includes notably:
- improvements on setup and installation tools,
- joystick port number can now be entered from setup tool,
- automatic installation of Russian fonts if needed,
- improvements on Hungarian and Russian translations.
