    AmigaOS 4.0 update #2 2005-01-03,17H00

Hyperion Entertainment released a few days ago the second AmigaOS 4.0 update. This version seems to be minor when you compare it to previous one that brought many new features. However, as well as bugs fixes and small evolutions (kernel, graphics, DOS, etc), USB stack was improved and allows now to use USB keys and even some cameras. Let's notice too that Moovid (native version), which allows AVI and MOV films watching, was included in this release. Don't miss it if you are an AmigaOne owner. You need first update installed though.

    AmigaOS 4.0 prerelease available 2004-06-05,13H30

AmigaOne users are finally getting their so wanted AmigaOS 4.0 prerelease. Hyperion Entertainment, which managed and largely contributed to AmigaOS 4.0 development, had announced a few days ago that they were having CDs in their hands and that they were sending it to local distributors. If you still don't have received yours, that shouldn't be so far from now :o). If this is the case, you can go on amigaworld.net website to see how it looks like.

It is the end of a long wait... But the begin of effervescence! You can already get native programs from Peter Gordond website. You can also download several emulators (ported by Steffen Haeuser) from AmigaShare website. You will also find soon from our website native versions of untar Me Up and Start Me Up, two of our home products. Moreover, as promised, an official download website will be soon opened by Hyperion Entertainment.

A lot of work is still to do to get an AmigaOS 4.0 final release: SNAP (graphical engine) integration, JIT emulator integration, native graphical management, etc. It looks like we will have to wait until end of year to get full AmigaOS 4.0 release. However, prerelease is caracterized by its stability, its speed ans its so important "amiga spirit", that makes the long wait easier to accept :o). Amiga rulez!

    Review of Invasion 02/16/2004,16H00

The AmigaDE © scene has been relatively quite over the past twelve months. For a product that offers content portability across many different platforms, it seems to be having a hard time finding converts. All is not lost however and there are individuals, groups and companies working hard in the background. One such company is Zeoneo Ltd,...
